The second session in this series, Hiring, is all about reaching talent – attracting individuals from less advantaged backgrounds who may not traditionally apply for roles within your organisation, yet may be able to make a significant contribution in future.
Once you have attracted diverse applicants, it is then about having an open recruitment process – to ensure there are no additional barriers unfairly impacting a candidate’s success, such as unconscious bias at the interview stage.
This session will take the form of:
- a short presentation by the Social Mobility Commission;
- in-depth case-study from Accenture;
- interactive workshop in which to explore ideas, share insights and tackle some of the challenges.
On the back of the workshop we will be sharing a checklist to help you refine your ideas and develop a ‘best-practice’ recruitment process.
We hope that you will join us for what should be an insightful and inspiring session for employers looking to reach a diverse pool of talent.
