Our Head of Stakeholder Engagement (skills and employment) Paula Kemp joined the Creative Mentor Network (CMN) for a webinar discussing socio-economic inclusion in the Creative Industries.
Attracting and including a wide and diverse talent pool is a must for any forward-thinking team – and the creative industries are no exception.
In 2021, the Social Mobility Commission worked with employers and membership organisations from across the sector to develop an Employer Toolkit to support social mobility.
At this event, we discussed the practicalities of implementing some of the guidance from the toolkit – this is a hugely diverse sector which cannot be submitted to a one-size-fits-all approach.
Use the link below to playback the CMN webinar to learn more about the class gap in the creative industries and how including socioeconomic diversity in your organisation can support your business, your work and your staff.
Who should watch the recroding?
This event is ideal for HR and People teams, DE&I professionals, hiring managers, heads of departments interested in growing and supporting diverse teams in their organisation, and employees interested in DE&I, mentoring and how they can become advocates for socio-economic diversity in the creative workplace.
The focus will be on the creative industries, which include advertising, architecture, the art and antique market, crafts, design, designer fashion, film and video, interactive leisure software, music, the performing arts, publishing, software and computer games, and television and radio.
