At the start of the year, Business in the Community initiated a groundbreaking research project in collaboration with Aldermore Bank, Heathrow Airport, and Lloyd’s Register, to identify best practices for employers to support jobseekers from low socioeconomic backgrounds, especially those facing compounding factors such as race, age, and disability. The research will gather new insights directly from jobseekers.
On 9 May, our Commissioner, Parminder Kohli spoke at their event where they explored the findings.
Other speakers included Jess Sewter, Chief Partnerships Officer at Generation UK. The event was chaired by Steven Cooper, CEO of Aldermore Bank.
This event was open to both members and non-members of Business in the Community (BITC). The event was designed to benefit HR Directors, Talent Managers, EDI Directors and those who work in recruitment.
