Our latest masterclass puts the focus on hiring and recruitment – exploring the common practices that can create artificial and unnecessary barriers to potential applicants from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
Join the session to understand the simple steps that you can take to promote diversity at each stage of the recruitment process. From writing clear job descriptions and designing non-graduate entry routes, to creating new job opportunities in social mobility coldspots and engaging with schools and colleges, this session will offer guidance on how to create equitable recruitment practices that drive socio-economic diversity and inclusion within your organisation.
This session will take the form of:
- A short presentation by the Social Mobility Commission – we are leading advocates for social mobility in England, who produce a host of research and guidance for employers
- Followed by in-depth case-studies from Co-op
After the session, we will share an ‘after-pack’ with the attendees and we will upload a recording of the presentations and case-studies to our website for those unable to attend.
Check our News & Events for details or to view past sessions. In the meantime you can also explore our toolkits, which will give you practical ideas on what you can do to advance socio-economic diversity in the workplace.
We hope that you will be able to join us and thank you for being committed to driving real change in the social mobility space.
